Does Robert Kiyosaki have a Millionaire Mind? Come & hear him speak!

The book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki was one of the greatest influences on my husband and I in deciding that we were able to build our wealth and lead a life we love.

While reading his book my husband and I looked back at our own up bringing.  Together we quickly realized we had many commonalities with Robert.  We figured if he could become wealthy, so could we.

Our parents. like his, wanted more for their children…. they believed that if we did well in school, got a good paying job (preferably one with the government or a union) that would be our ticket to a better life.  We followed that path, for a while.  Quite frankly, we followed it for too long.

Eventually we found the challenge, as did Robert, was that there was no security in following the wisdom of our parents.  Good jobs were still jobs.  We could be fired, downsized or replaced at any time.  We could save our money, live below our means, plan for an early retirement and live a decent lifestyle, but truth be told, we would never save our way to wealth.  We needed to learn and understand what the wealthy already knew.  We needed to become financially literate, and then take actions based on what we learned. (See the About Me section of this website for more info).

In April of 2008, I paid a LOT of money to go to one of Robert Kiyosaki’s conferences in Arizona.   It was quite expensive and at the time, I thought it COST me a lot of money, but I was drawn to go and took the action necessary to make it happen.

While in Arizona, Robert really challenged what I had been taught to believe.  He spoke from the heart, and he spoke VERY candidly (some profanity came with his passion in making sure we got the lessons he was sharing).   In hindsight, what I realize is that it did not COST me money to attend, but that the money I paid to attend, was an investment.  It was an investment that has changed my life, how I think, how I handle money, and in reality that conference has actually Saved and Made me money!

Robert Kiyosaki is coming to Canada to speak at one of my mentors (Darren Weeks) events being held on October 26 through to October 28th in Edmonton, Alberta.  The cost to attend the event is much less than the money I spent back in 2008.   If you are interested in attending, you can click the link below for more information.

Jeff and I have purchased tickets our own tickets last summer, when it was a “rumour” that Robert would be in attendance.  Now that it is confirmed, I’m really excited about the opportunity to once again, be be challenged in how I think.  This will be my 3rd time in hearing Robert speak and I firmly believe that it won’t be my last.

Robert Kiyosaki is the drawing card for sure, but there will be other speakers there, and lots of positive like minded people who are just fun to be around.

Fast Track to Cash Flow is hosting this event and always delivers value way beyond my expectation.  There will be lots of opportunity to connect with other people, and excellent speakers throughout the weekend.

By clicking the button below, you will learn more information but will not be asked for additional information.   I am not compensated in any way for anyone who attends, so there is no “tracking system” or requirement for you to give up your email address or personal information unless you decide to attend.  I am inviting you to check it out as this is simply my chance to pay forward all that I have gained.

PS – While writing this blog, I decided to gift two more tickets to a couple that we mentor.  I stopped, made a phone call and offered them tickets… now they are scrambling to find a babysitter. LOL …  I LOVE my LIFE … I hope to see you there, and I hope you will make a point of finding me and saying “Hello”.  Have a great week!

Are you a Loser or a Learner?

People make mistakes all the time, and each time you make a mistake it is progress IF you allow it to be. Losers are people who fail to take action OR who make the same mistake over and over and over again, but fail to take the lesson offered.

Learners are those who take action, sometimes make a mistake, correct and continue. They are the ones who figure out the lesson to be learned.

Mistakes teach you important lessons, but only if you are of the mindset to learn from the experience. Every time you make one, you’re one step closer to your goal.

I firmly believe that the only mistake that can truly hurt someone is choosing to do nothing, simply because they have are too scared they will not succeed.

So be willing to take a chance, don’t hesitate and don’t doubt yourself. In life, it’s rarely about getting a chance; it’s about taking a chance. You’ll never be 100% sure of the outcome, but you will be 100% sure that nothing will change if you are not willing to take move forward.

No matter how it turns out, it always ends up just the way the Universe intended. Either you will succeed or you will learn something.

If you continue to do what you have always done, you will continue to get what you have always got.

Go ahead, drop the Loser status, and become a Learner! Life will just get better :)

What is More Important? Education or Intelligence?

I am a big believer that both Education and Intelligence are equally important, but that neither is relevant without the right mind set!

Many of us have grown up hearing the mantra of our parents … “Go to school, get a good job (preferably one with a good retirement & benefit plan) so that you will have a good secure future.  My question to that is ~ how is that working out now,  for many, many people?

They are well educated, had good jobs and are now unemployed and highly stressed out.  In essence – they are “Stuck”, not knowing what to do, or out to get out of the mess.

As to Intelligence, many successful people were told they were stupid and they could not get through the traditional school systems, so obviously they had their own form of Intelligence, just not in the traditional sense.

It really does not matter if you have a genius IQ or you are a Rocket Scientist.. what really matters is your mindset, your attitude and your willingness to take action.   There is a huge difference in knowing how to do something and then actually DOING something.  Without action, it does not matter what you know!

I encourage you to take an ACTION today, and then committing to growing your mind and instituting actions to do so.  You can start by reading,,, even a paragraph a day makes a difference; listen to audios by people who are successful in an area you are interested in, or register and attend a course in any area that will help you to expand how you think.

I strongly encourage you to check out the link at the side of this page and attend the Millionaire Mind Intensive in a city near you.  Free tickets are available for General Seating, and inexpensive tickets are available with excellent bonuses if you prefer to sit up close and be in the high energy.

No matter what steps you take for action, I would love to hear back from you!

To your success!

8 Steps ~ How to Have More Money & Happiness

Do you ever feel like you are in the movie Groundhog Day?  You know, where life is a daily repeat of grind, never getting out of the circle of circumstance,  Over and Over, every day is a repeat?   Good news – YOU can Change that, and it is relatively easy…

Here are some tools that I have used to create more money & more happiness in my life that got me out of the GroundHog day mentalilty!

1)  “Make up your mind” that you’re not going to live that way anymore.  SUCCESS, MORE & HAPPINESS ALL START WITH A DECISION

 2) Think about what you DO want … go random .. get a blank piece of paper and put a circle in the centre.  In the circle write the words that identify how you would FEEL in your ideal situation (happy, healthy, relaxed, stable, funny, free etc)

3) Now get radically honest & creative with yourself and start to write around the circle as many ideas as you can that would make you feel alive, happy, fulfilled … try to be somewhat specific .. I want to be in a good relationship, I want children, I want to write a book, I want an extra $25,000 in passive income.  Perhaps living in a cabin in the woods, sailing around the world, spending winters in a warm climate .. whatever they be.  Nothing is too big or too small to write down.  If the idea makes you smile, write it down.

4)  Create a Vision Board – Your mind processes pictures, we are visual by nature.  This process works best when you create it by hand,  You can draw pictures, or cut out pictures from magazines, postcards, etc. that help you visualize everything you wrote on your paper.  You can also use words or phrases that inspire you.   Post this board where you will see it everyday, and in a place where you will see it MANY times a day!

If you are embarassed that your friends will see the board (change friends, you need supportive people in your life), or post it in a place where they do not hang out … Your bedroom?

Images activate your unconscious mind… the more you focus on what you want, the quicker your subconscious mind works and the quicker the reality will happen for you.

5)  Declarations or Mantras also trigger your mind to attract what you want.  Choose power words or phrases that inspire you, but are not false in the moment.  For example “I am at my perfect weight” is not as powerful as “I am working towards my perfect weight”.   Your Mind knows when you are lying… and when you lie to yourself, you negate any postive vibration that would have been to your benefit.

Some examples are here, borrow or make up your own.  But really feel the desire in your heart when you say them.  “I will find the person I am meant to love”  .. “I am working at my perfect weight” …. “I am getting healthier every day” …. “I will have more money come into my life” …

6)  Become aware of your Little Voice … what little voice you ask?  It’s the one you are hearing in your head as you ask that question.  It’s job is to protect you from danger and failure.  So when  you hear that little voice, acknowledge it with a simple “Thank You for Sharing”, and then move back onto a positive thought!

You will soon start to feel more in control, more empowered and more positive things will become easier.

7)  Celebrate every positive step of the way…   What do I mean by “Celebrate”?   It can be as simple as a quick “Fist in the Air with a verbal YES”, it could be a little “happy dance” or it could be as simple as an “under your breath comment of “I knew I could do it” .. the point is to appreciate each step along with way.  For example, it is your desire to get more fit, and you run the last 20 steps to your office, celebrate the 20 steps … If it is that you thought you would by a chocolate bar, and didn’t, celebrate the decision not to buy!  That being said, the more physical and verbal, the more your brain enjoys the celebration!

Focus on what you’re doing right, and the progress you are making towards your goals.

8) ? Live with an Attitude of Gratitude

Each night before I go to bed, I consciously think about 10 things that I am proud of accomplishing and/or that I am grateful for that day .. when I first started it was REALLY hard.  I had to use things like “I got out of bed on time”, “I brushed my teeth”, I am grateful for having a bed to sleep in”… because that was all my mind could think of,  Now when I go to bed, my mind is overfilled with all of the things in my world I am appreciative of, from the smallest things like “The bagel this morning was so fresh” to  ”I phoned a friend that I had not spoke to in a while” and bigger things like “I negotiated a win-win-win deal on a real estate purchase”.

I have taught myself to live with an Attitude of Gratitude and more positive unfolds in my world as time goes on.  I fully believe that the Universe (or God, or Buddah, or whatever belief you hold) is always on target and I just trust that it will all make sense later.  The more I appreciate, the more comes my way.  I stopped asking “How” and learned to trust that whatever I Focus on, will happen, if I just Focus long enough and have total belief that it will happen.

If you are having trouble with starting, make a list of your recent wins, maybe you were patient with a customer, perhaps you reached out to an old friend, maybe it was your choice to treat yourself to a walk outside at lunch time instead of working through lunch.  Celebrate each of these moments!  Review your list when you mind tries to go back to it’s comfort zone of “Ground Hog Day” mentality and as you do … your self worth will go up and your net worth will rise.

Everything starts with a choice.

Choose wisely … “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t ~ you will be right” ~ Henry Ford

I would love to hear about your experience or ideas and welcome your comments!

Autistic Teen Scores BIG.. 3 Steps to How YOU can do the Same!

Everyone once in a while I come across a video that makes me smile or laugh, and I take the few minutes to enjoy it and then let it go.

This Video was Different … it kept coming back to me via Facebook and emails from friends.  Each time, I felt compelled to view it, and each time it brought me goose bumps and a tear (or two) to my eyes.

This morning I realized, that I need to share it forward to others, and with it, the 3 Steps how you can also Score Big in your own Life.  How do I know?   I took the same 3 steps and I LOVE my LIfe .. so I know, that if I can do it, you can too!

Watch the Video now:

The 3 Steps that I took:

1)  Concieve …. I thought about what I wanted to have in my life, I thought about what it would mean to me & to my family.  In short I conceived the idea of what I wanted to Be, Do and Have in my life.

2)  Believe …. I believed I could do it.  I felt it in my heart.  I KNEW and BELIEVED that if I was to FOCUS on what I wanted, I could achieve what I wanted.

3)  Achieve ….  I take the steps forward to Achieve my goals ~ sometimes with absolute blind faith, and truly not a clue of “How” .. I simply took the first steps towards what I wanted.  I would go as far as I could see, then I would adjust the plan.  Sometimes this meant asking for help, or learning a new skill or taking another blind leap of faith, knowing that if I believed in what I was doing, it would all work out.   I learned the phrase “Ready, Fire, Aim”… meaning, get out there (Ready), start something & see if it works (Fire) and then adjust (Aim), until I hit my target.

I believe the young autistic hero in this video used the exact same process, perhaps without even being conscious of it!

1) He knew he wanted to be part of the team, so he joined up in the capacity that was available to him

2) When he was given his opportunity to join the team in a game ~ he was Ready … he believed he could shoot a basket and Fired …. he then re-adjusted his Aim and fired again and again.

3)  Achieved – he was ready to play, he jumped in and played with all his heart.  He fired away his 1st shot or two, then he corrected and Aimed again which led to his momentus success.

The Success he found was not only for himself (I can’t imagine what a life changing experience that was), but for his Team and quite frankly for the Success of others who have been able to watch this video and feel inspired.

I hope that you will Start Today, take the steps you feel are right to create your own Success!

Warm thoughts for all that makes you happy,

Success – Do You Think it Takes More Than Skill?

The following is a Blog that was sent to me by T. Harv Eker – I wanted to share it with you as well as add my opinion – see the end – , I would love to hear your opinion as well

Success Takes More than Skill

October 21st, 2011 by T. Harv Eker

Two hamburger joints open back in ’67 … we’ll call one Bob’s Burger Shack. Great hamburgers! The other shop is McDonalds. The rest is history, yes?

Were Mickey D’s burgers really that much better than Bob’s?

I mean, really … how hard is it to get a burger right? Even Ray Croc himself admitted this to eager business school students he lectured in his lifetime. He’d ask them, ‘How many people in here can make a better hamburger than McDonalds?’ Everyone would raise their hand because everybody’s made a tasty burger before, at least tasty by their own standards. But then he’d ask, ‘How many people make more money than McDonalds?’ Naturally, all hands dropped.

It’s a simple yet eloquent demonstration that it doesn’t matter whether you have a better idea, a better product, or a better service. In business, the only thing that matters is getting that product, idea, or service out to as many people as possible, and/or at as much profit as possible.

It’s the learning curve of the entrepreneur—amassing the skills necessary to take what you have to offer to a mass audience profitably, Read the rest of this entry »

What does the Millionaire Mind Intensive have to do with Bullying?

Jeff, Levi & I after Mind of Steel, Heart of Gold camp

Yesterday was my youngest son’s 22nd Birthday ~ and I am sharing with you his success story, in large part to his participation in the Peak Potentials Quantum Leap program, which all started with the 3 day Millionaire Mind Intensive (MMI) Event.

In April of 2008, Levi was just a few months away from graduating high school.  His Dad Jeff, Levi and I all attended our first MMI event in Calgary.  The event was life changing for us all, but in particular for Levi.

Like many other young people, Levi had struggled through parts of school, including a time where he felt bullied and intimidated Read the rest of this entry »
